Although we’ve received a lot more positive feedback about our comic than negative feedback, there have been some serious haters who seem to have made it their mission to defame us. Today’s comic is meant to address those haters and their silly complaints.

The majority of complaints seem to center around some sort of similarity people see with us and xkcd. I don’t get it. We both use stick art, yes. I think that it is inevitable to be compared to the most famous stick art comic, but I don’t know how different you can really make stick art. Stick art is stick art, but you can still see major differences in head shape and body length. We also have a Hat Man character which is something else we have in common with xkcd, but ours is a main character and xkcd’s hat man doesn’t show up nearly as much. His hat is also different. If you look at the content of xkcd versus our comic, you’ll see that the style of comedy is much different. I’m not as smart as that guy. I enjoy different activities, and I absolutely hate math. I hear he was involved with robotics, and robots scare me. I will never have one, even if I am required to have one by government legislation.

These people can complain as much as they want. To be honest, I prefer their complaints to nothing at all. This way, they are getting us traffic and introducing our work to new readers. I don’t mind it at all. Keep it up, haters. We’ll continue to make our comics. It is fun for us and people like them, no matter how much that bothers you. The HandRooster style will continue to evolve as I grow as a writer and as Steph grows as an artist. This endeavor is good for us, so you won’t be losing us anytime soon. Whine more, bitches.
