The Hat Saga
As the number of comics we’ve created climbs, we find the popularity of some of our characters climbing as well. Our star character at the moment is Hat Man, and we have been pressured by numerous sources (mainly Steph’s brother, John) to flesh out his backstory. I wanted to make sure we did justice to the strength of Hat Man, so I’ve put him through a lot during his lifetime. The latest comic has to be the wordiest yet, but I think it was quite necessary in order to portray the strong father figure Hat Man had. I’m sure you all agree.
If you go back to the flashback in the comic Seaworld, you can see that Hat Man’s hat is obstructed by the cage bars, causing some ambiguity as to what style of hat he is actually wearing. We played on this a bit in the story line, which worked out pretty well. We owe John some thanks for that. I’m pretty happy with this one.
