I’m a bot
Unfortunately, almost every time I sign up for a new account on some sort of website, I am required to jump through various hoops to prove that I’m not a bot.
I remember when I first started seeing them being used, several years ago. It was fun. It was like a little puzzle you had to solve to prove your worth. These days, however, it’s a total chore - I’m sure they never used to be as difficult to read as they are now. Perhaps the bots got better at reading, so they made the little pictures more difficult to read. In any case, sometimes I can spend several minutes trying to discern the letters and numbers (often failing, and then having to try again on a completely new and unfamiliar picture).
And don’t even bother trying to opt for the sound version because you think it will be the easy way out. Nope. Imagine a noisy restaurant. Among the crowded tables of diners, sits a man, completely alone. Under his breath, he is muttering the magical letters and numbers you so desperately need to hear. That’s what it’s like. Completely useless!
Anyway, I came up with this comic after encountering a particularly challenging picture. Couldn’t read it, so I just accepted my fate. I suggest you do the same!

ahaha true true, we’re all bots! trying to prove otherwise contradicts with everyday life anyway ahaha - someday it will be impossible for humans to access the internet ahahah
